Following the intervention of mayors angry at the National Congress of Mayors https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25981-haiti-news-zapping.html which denounced that on 140 vehicles promised by the Chief of the State, only 10 had been delivered, the Government reacted quickly by proceeding the same day, via Jean-Marie Reynaldo Brunet the Minister of the Interior and the Local Authorities, proceeded to the delivery of 6 brand new cars to the presidents of the Administrations Councils of Communal Section (CASEC) of the departments of West, North, South, South-East, Artibonite and Grand Anse.

The Minister Brunet, also handed the keys of a new vehicle to the President of the National Federation of the Administration of Communal Sections (FENASEC).

In his remarks of circumstance Brunet emphasized that this distribution of rolling stock clearly reflected the commitment of the Ministry of the Interior which makes every effort to materialize all the commitments made in early 2018 by the Head of State for the benefit of local elected officials.

He also announced that other vehicles will soon be delivered to the other departmental associations of CASEC, to continue to support and support the strengthening of local government structures.
