Employees of the Embassy of Canada in Port-au-Prince took advantage of the self-defense course given as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence Campaign to learn basic movements to defend against an aggressor.

Canada, through its International Women's Aid Policy, places gender equality and empowerment of women and girls at the center of its international assistance, plays a leading role in promoting elimination violence against women and girls.

Let's continue to work together to ensure a safe future for women and girls without gender-based violence.
