While Fils-Aimé Ignace Saint-Fleur, the Director General of the Office of Monetization of Development Assistance Programs (BMPAD) had assured that diesel and gasoline would be available again in all gas stations as of Monday https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26608-haiti-politic-towards-the-end-of-fuel-scarcity-in-gas-stations.html the impatience and anger of motorists forced the Office of the Secretary of State for Public Security to appeal for calm in a joint note dated January 8 :

Joint Note :
"The Office of the Secretary of State for Public Security (BSESP) and the Office for Monetization of Development Assistance Programs (BMPAD) inform the population that all steps are being taken by the authorities to continue to make fuel available in the different stations of the capital and provincial cities.

Therefore, motorists are advised to keep calm and not to panic because all distribution companies will be incessantly supplied.

We rely on everyone's understanding."
