Following information from the Dominican Intelligence Directorate, the Directorate General of Migration (DGM) carried out a migratory control operation at the toll station of the Las Americas highway. 37 Haitians in an irregular migration situation were arrested while being transported aboard a Mitsubishi white truck, registered L356952, driven by Ramón Antonio Helena Lebrón, who was also arrested

According to the authorities, Haitians went to one of the eastern provinces of the country to develop agricultural work.

They were taken to the Haina DGM Detention Center for identification and registration in the central database before being deported to Haiti.
