Guyto Édouard the Director General of the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA) announces that the Government will soon purchase 125 fire hydrants that will be installed in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince to facilitate the fight against fires

Guyto Édouard said that the proposals are under study at the National Commission of Public Procurement (CNMP) following the launch of the tender and said that the outcome of the call for tenders will be communicated shortly.

He pointed out that in the meantime, on the side of the DINEPA, works are already under way, stating that 8 drilling have already been completed, including 6 at Croix-des-Bouquets and 2 at Pernier, which are interconnected through a tunnel under the river Grise and that it remains only to connect to the distribution network.
