Precious Witness of the International Exhibition (1949-1950) commemorating the bicentennial of the creation of Port-au-Prince (1749-1949) the artifact "Key of the city of Port-au-Prince" is inscribed in the collection of objects of the Haitian National Pantheon Museum (MUPANAH).

Note that with the participation of some fifteen countries, the international exhibition of the bicentennial of Port-au-Prince (more than 250,000 visitors) propelled Haiti on the world stage.

Remember that on June 13, 1749, the colonial administrators created the parish of Port-au-Prince, on the S. Morel habitation, which would become the capital of the richest of the colonies of France.
