Garnel Michel Coordinator of the Haitian organization Technical and Operational Services to Stop Accident (STOP-Accidents), informs us that from 14 to 20 October 2019, 22 traffic accidents have caused at least 50 victims : 3 dead and 47 wounded of which several seriously.

Cap Haitien, Dondon, Port-au-Prince and Pétion-ville, are the main towns and areas where these accidents were recorded.

Remember that this weekly report was made in partnership with the National Ambulance Center (CAN) and the Haitian Red Cross. However, due to a lack of resources, the STOP-Accident organization is unable to monitor the state of health of the wounded, some of whom die as a result of their injuries and are not counted.

STOP Accidents reiterates its call for caution on our roads, and continues to ask the competent authorities to take measures to reduce the risk of accidents on the public highway.
