iciHaiti - Léogâne : $135,000 donation from Japan for the construction of the Flon Community School
Thursday, October 24th as part of "Donation Assistance to Local Micro-Projects Contributing to Human Security" (APL), Mitsuaki Mizuno, Ambassador of Japan in Haiti, signed at the Japanese Embassy in Port-au-Prince with the representative of the United Youth Organization (Organisation des Jeunes Unis - OJU) a grant contract of nearly 135,000 US dollars (134,832.00) for the Construction of the Flon Community School in Leogane. This project proposed by the OJU and funded entirely by Japan aims to provide students with school infrastructure suitable for quality education.

With this financial support, the new school building will be equipped with 6 classrooms equipped with school furniture adapted to the age of the children, an administrative block comprising for the management, the commissary and an archive room and a toilet block respecting the genres.

This support project meets the criteria of cooperation of Japan whose main goal is to offer a better social condition to the Haitian population, with a view to supporting sustainable development, including the enjoyment of the right to education.
