Thursday, Edwing Charles, the Minister of Youth and Sports returning from Cuba where he took advantage of his visit to support the Haitian cyclists involved in the Caribbean Cycling Championship to take steps to revive the sports cooperation Haitian-Cuban https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-29195-haiti-cuba-caribbean-cycling-championship-haiti-on-the-podium.html , met with officials of Federations and Sports Associations to keep them informed of their actions.

At this meeting, the Minister invited officials to get involved in drafting the memorandum of understanding to revive cooperation with Cuba. For the Minister, the National Sports Federations and Associations, represent actors of the sector to include in any approach aiming at the development of the sport, declaring to them "The Cuban-Haitian sporting cooperation must allow our talented sportsmen to improve themselves for the benefit of the country. It is important to work with you to better understand the needs and challenges."

The Minister emphasized the standardization of relations between the Ministry and sports organizations in Haiti, convinced that the submission of reports, annual calendars and international deadlines will help to better understand the needs of the sector.
