None of the 3 main circuits are powered and the city of Gonaïves is in the blackout absolute.

The officials have made requests for fuel in Port-au-Prince for several weeks, but it does not come into question the impossibility of safely transporting fuel to the plant because of the barricades of protesters opposition on the RN 1 for several weeks and growing insecurity.

Officials are unable to tell the population when the blackout will end, as long as the situation of socio-political instability continues and the fuel can not be delivered to the plant.
