iciHaiti - Politic : The FNP rejects the idea of Haitian refugee camps in DR
On Saturday, Vinicio Castillo Semán, the influential leader of the Progressive National Force (FNP), opposition of the hard-line nationalist right, said that the Dominican Government should launch an international offensive to demand a humanitarian intervention in Haiti because of the serious social and economic crisis that this country is going through.
Stressing "DR must begin an international offensive as soon as possible, calling for the intervention of the international community in Haiti in terms of urgent humanitarian assistance" strongly affirming "a massive invasion of the territory disguised as humanitarian aid should not be allowed [...] the Dominican Republic will not accept refugee camps on its territory."
