Marie Elise Brissson Gelin, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, reminds employers of commercial companies and institutions, the obligation to pay employees a complementary salary (13th month or bonus) between 24 and 31 December of each year, regardless of the duration of employment, in accordance with the provisions of articles 154 and following of the Haitian Labor Code.

The Minister specifies that as a result, a body of labor inspectors will be deployed throughout the national territory to ensure the application of this provision in all companies and institutions concerned.

Minister Gelin takes this opportunity to wish the Haitian people in general and the social partners in particular, a Merry Christmas 2019 and a fruitful year 2020.
