iciHaiti - Finance : Strengthening the professionalism of journalists
The Haitian Association of Economic Journalists for Sustainable Development (AHJEDD) and the American Embassy in Haiti are joining forces to raise awareness and develop the capacities of Haitian journalists in the economic and financial fields.

The objective of the project is to fuel the debate on economic issues in Haiti by building the capacities of journalists in the economic and financial field with the aim of having a network of journalists sensitized and trained in economic and development sustainable issues on the national territory.

This project thus contributes to the achievement of the priorities of Civil Society Organizations in Haiti because it strengthens the professionalism of journalists and contributes to the fight against corruption in relation to the themes developed.

Specifically, the project aims to help journalists gain a better understanding of economic, financial and sustainable development concepts; establish and fuel a high-level debate on economic issues in the country through a higher production of economic files by members of the Haitian press.

Funding for the project is provided up to $18,000 by the Embassy of the United States in Haiti, for all project activities.

The project is being implemented in the metropolitan area with the participation of around 30 journalists.
