Monday at the premises of Châtelain Tours in Tabarre, Edwing Charles, the Minister of Youth and Sports attended the start of the chess playoffs organized by the Haitian Chess Federation (FHE).

In front of an audience of passionate fans, several dozen young people from, among others, the Central Plateau, Ganthier, Carrefour, Fontamara and Cité Soleil participated in this eliminatory competition which will allow to select the representatives of Haiti for the 44th chess Olympiad in Russia in 2020.

Charles wished the participants success and presented his congratulations to the leaders of the FHE encouraging them to continue to work for the development of this brain sport across the country.
