In Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, a French archipelago in the south of Newfoundland (Canada), the young Prête Rony Jean (36), originally from the diocese of Jérémie in Haiti (South-West, Dept. Grand'Anse), brings to faithful, enthusiasm and warmth during the celebration of its masses and its homilies, whether at the Cathedral of Saint-Pierre or at the Chapel of Sainte-Bernadette. Rony Jean, a former journalist during the 2004 riots in Haiti who led to the exile of President Aristide, then host of a cultural program on a Catholic radio station where he met the priest who would reveal his vocation to him. In 2010, when he became Father Jean, he saw the terrible earthquake that struck Haiti and killed more than 250,000 people, then became a missionary in French Guiana before serving since August 12, 2019 in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon.
