Wednesday, on the sidelines of the celebration of the 216th anniversary of the independence of Haiti Jovenel Moïse apologized to the population, for not having respected his promise to electrify the country 24/7 in the 2 first years of his mandate, accusing once again the economic elite of being responsible...
"I promised to give you electricity 24 hours a day. I could not do it within the time limit, I apologize to you. I had misjudged the forces involved. These forces are very powerful and take all kinds of forms to maintain this system. They control the main institutions in the country in order to defend their privileges and interests."
