iciHaiti - Petit-Goâve : Birth of a new youth movement 09/01/2020 09:17:01
They are gathering around a new movement called "Youth Ambassadors" (Les Ambassadeurs de la Jeunesse - AJ) and a project to decentralize politics in Haiti. These young people are fighting for the effective and direct involvement of young people in the exercise of political power, because for them, politics can no longer be the prerogative of the old. Nevertheless, this approach does not aim to exclude the old from politics, but to establish a bridge between the generations for a frank, inclusive and participative political dialogue and, by extension, to end this kind of intergenerational incommunicability which is in full swing in the country. In short, the idea simply consists in sharing the political space and integrating the decision-making spaces in Haiti, especially in Petit-Goâve.
