It’s Mgr. Sylvain Ducange, Auxiliary Bishop of Port-au-Prince, mandated by the Archbishop of Port-au-Prince, Max Leroy Mésidor, who in the Sainte-Famille Church filled with faithful for the occasion, proceeded to the erection canonical and the consecration of a new Parish located in Canaan 3 (Croix-des-Bouquets), which will bear the name of "Sainte-Famille" (Holy Family) like the Church.

After reading the canonical decree dedicating the new Parish, Mgr. Ducange invested the Reverend Father Raymond Malhot in his priestly functions as Curé of the new Parish.

In his speech, Father Malhot mentioned the first meeting of Catholic faithful in this place on October 10, 2010 to listen to the Word of God.

Note that this new Parish is bounded by the Parishes of Notre Dame des Anges and Notre Dame de la Victoire.
