Nody Guerrier, Technical Advisor to the Department of Poverty Alleviation of FAES, who chaired the meeting attended by members of the Board of Directors of the first section of Montagne Noire, explained the importance of community restaurants in communities in difficult situations and reminded that this initiative to provide a second community restaurant as soon as possible, was a response to an alert in November 2019 from the Ministry of Social Affairs of the existence of famine situations that were developing in several places of Thomassin. This meeting allowed the thirty participants to discuss the problems faced by residents of Thomassin citing among other things, the lack of basic social services added to the problems of drinking water, health, education and sanitation. Nody Guerrier confirmed that FAES was ready to support needy people and that his institution was awaiting the green light from local elected officials and community leaders who must identify and confirm the place and building for the establishment of the new community restaurant.
