In a NOTICE dated Friday March 17, 2019, Ralph Youri Chevry the mayor of Port-au-Prince, issues a 24 hour ultimatum to merchants who are not in good standing on the Champ-de-Mars to regularize or leave go voluntarily, before measures are taken to force them to leave the premises...

Text of the NOTICE :
"The Town Hall of Port-au-Prince advises the merchants of Champ-de-Mars, who operate without a formal authorization issued by the Town Hall, that they have 24 hours, from the release of this note, to clear the occupied places.

After this time, the City of Port-au-Prince will take the necessary measures to free the illegally occupied spaces.

For all information relating to obtaining a place at the Champ-de-Mars, those interested are invited to drop by the Town Hall of Port-au-Prince."
