iciHaiti - France : 4 Haitian laureates for the Residence culture 2020 program

As part of the program to welcome foreign professionals and artists, the French Ministry of Culture selected 57 candidates for the year 2020, including 4 laureates from Haiti who will spend 2 to 3 immersion stays months in French cultural structures and local communities.

List of the 4 Laureates :

Wendy Désert :

Filmmaker and President of the "Sine Nouvel" association, Wendy Désert will spend 3 months at the National Audiovisual Institute in order to develop a project to conserve the Haitian audiovisual heritage. This stay will allow him to work on the identification, restoration and enhancement of audiovisual archives.

Narline Novembre :

Photographer and social worker, Narline Novembre is going to Houlgate for 2 months to participate in the organization of the 3rd edition of the photography festival "Women are exposed". It will be an opportunity to develop his photography, exhibition and workshop project for young girls in the popular Martissant district.

Phalonne Pierre Louis

Photographer and communication student, Phalonne Pierre Louis will spend 3 months at the Center for Contemporary Photographic Art in Niort, to work on his project of organizing meetings and training to better promote and develop the profession of photojournalist in Haiti.

Marie-Erna Préservil

Director of a company that works in the organization and promotion of cultural events (Encre d’Or), Marie-Erna Préservil will join the Regional Direction of Cultural Affairs of New Aquitaine in Limoges for 3 months. This stay will allow her to understand the development and implementation of a cultural public policy. She wants to develop the democratization of culture in Haiti, especially through schools, and set up a project for an international festival of folk dance and music.
