In support of the school inspection work in three departments: North, North-East and South-East, Mirko Forni, Representative of UNICEF during a ceremony, handed to Meniol Jeune, Director General of the Ministry of National Education, 14 Honda motorcycles. This is additional rolling stock support from UNICEF to support the ministry in its mission to improve governance and the quality of education.

For Nicaisse Emmanuel, Departmental Director of South-East, "this logistical support will improve the supervision work of the DDEs in the field" welcoming this action which comes at a time when the DDEs are facing serious logistical problems in order to carry out their work.

Mirko Forni said he was happy to support the efforts of the Ministry to strengthen school inspection and hopes that these 14 motorcycles (6 for the North, 4 for the Southeast and 4 for the Northeast) in addition to All-terrain vehicles granted to these same DDEs during 2019, will be able to support inspectors in closely monitoring the work of teachers and students in the classrooms.
