President Jovenel Moïse has canceled his participation in the 31st intersessional meeting of the Caribbean Community (Caricom), which started yesterday Tuesday in Bridgetown (Barbados).
Chancellor Bocchit Edmond, who replaces Head of State Jovenel Moïse at this regional meeting, denied that the President had suspended his participation due to the police demonstration on Monday, which ended in fire in the carnival stands saying "The President has decided not to go to Barbados because of the negotiation meetings he is holding to find a solution to the political crisis" adding that this cancellation had been decided before the police mobilization and the incidents on Monday https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30051-haiti-flash-police-protesters-set-fire-to-champ-de-mars.html
