The National Old Age Insurance Office (ONA) deplores the troubles caused in the morning of Thursday, February 27, at its headquarters in Delmas 17 by manipulated and ill-intentioned individuals who claimed to be part of the "Kredi Atè Plat" program.
The ONA wishes to clarify that these troublemakers are by no means among the 3,000 beneficiaries of the 2nd cohort from several popular neighborhoods in the metropolitan region of Port-au-Prince, who received their checks on Thursday, February 20 at the National Palace https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-30078-icihaiti-onafanm-distribution-of-3-000-loan-checks.html
Recall that "Kredl Atè Plat" is a credit program, initiated in 2018 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26264-haiti-economy-launching-in-the-west-of-program-kredi-ate-plat.html allowing people from disadvantaged classes to obtain a loan ranging from 15,000 to 50,000 Gourdes with a preferential rate of 1% per month is placed under the leadership of the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MCI), and only benefits from ONA technical and logistical support.
