iciHaiti - Social : Strike ended after 4 months at the Haitian Institute of Statistics

In an unlimited strike since October 21, 2019, the employees of the Haitian Institute of Statistics and Information Technology (IHSI) decided in a note dated March 2, to end their work stoppage to allow the Government and the general public to find statistical data, considered important for the planning of the country including that of GDP, ICAE and CPI (inflation).

Let's recall that this strike was launched following the appointment of Wilson Fièvre as Director General of the IHSI challenged by the staff who, according to them, had a history of corruption when he was stationed at the National Identification Office (ONI).

However, according to an IHSI official, it will still take time to relaunch the various publications, notably those relating to inflation.
