Friday, March 6, the new Prime Minister, Joseph Jouthe was also installed as Minister of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE).

In his remarks for the occasion, Wilfrid Trenard, the Director General of the Ministry expressed his gratitude to the outgoing Minister ai Jean Roudy Aly, for his contribution in bringing the ministry out of its dysfunctional state and gave the new Minister Jouthe the assurance that all instructions will be issued to allow the Ministry, long regarded as the "linchpin" of government action, to play its full part to get the country out of the abyss and reduce inequalities.

Jouthe, the new Minister of Planning, has promised to do everything in his power to take into account all the orientations advocated by President Jovenel Moïse in the 2020-2021 budgetary framework.

Furthermore, he urged respect for the human person, humility, team spirit and collaboration in order to achieve the expected results, concluding "The Ministry must absolutely be at the forefront in the development of a clear policy, aimed at the reconstruction and advancement of Haiti."
