Garnel Michel Coordinator of the Haitian organization Technical and Operational Services to Stop Accidents (STOP-Accidents), informs us that from May 3 to 10, 27 road accidents on national territory (-15%) compared to the previous week , made at least 79 victims (-2.4%) : 8 dead (-38%) and 71 wounded (+ 4.4%) including several seriously.

Camp-Perrin, Bassin bleu, Petit-Goâve, Léogâne, Bois Verna, Bon repos, Sainte-Philomène in the North department are among others, are the main communes and areas where these accidents have been recorded.

Remember that this weekly assessment was carried out in partnership with the National Ambulance Center (CAN) and the Haitian Red Cross. However, due to a lack of STOP-Accident means, it is unable to monitor the state of health of the injured, some of whom die from their injuries and are not counted.

STOP-Accidents, reiterates its call for caution on our roads while continuing to ask the authorities concerned to take measures to reduce the risk of accidents on public roads and better behavior of drivers on the roads.
