Saturday afternoon, after more than a week of surveillance, the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) carried out an important crackdown in the commune of Croix-des-Bouquets where the powerful Gang Leader from the locality "Nan Remi", Sévère Joseph aka "Granmoun" was arrested with 6 of his henchmen.

This police operation was carried out jointly by agents of the units of the DCPJ, of the Intervention and Research Brigade (BRI), Brigade to Fight against Narcotic Drugs Traffic (BLTS) and Brigade Against Vehicle Theft (BLVV).

Recall that "Granmoun" was under the blow of several wanted notices and his gang specialized in acts of kidnapping and kidnapping, assassinations, theft of vehicles, robberies and embezzlement of goods from the Dominican Republic.
