In Jéremie as in Jacmel, the students demanded the presence of teachers (who are on strike) in their schools, one month after the resumption of classes and demand a better quality of public education.

Meanwhile, in Jacmel, teachers joined student demonstrators to demand salary adjustments and payment of their arrears. In Haiti's former commercial port, there were clashes between teachers and police, unionists reported, denouncing police violence.
