iciHaiti - Justice : Late declarations of birth, no fees to pay

In a circular, Rockefeller Vincent, the Minister of Justice reminds all Government Commissioners to the Courts of First Instance the adoption of the Presidential Decree taken by the Council of Ministers, dated November 13, 2019, granting to any person without a birth certificate a delay of 5 years, from the publication of the decree, to have their Civil Status regularized.

Under this Order, Haitian compatriots have no fees to pay for late declarations of birth to Civil Status Officers.

"Consequently, the Government Commissioners to the Courts of First Instance of the eighteen (18) jurisdictions of the Republic are required, upon receipt of this, to take all the necessary measures for the strict application of this legal instrument. [...]"
