iciHaiti - Security : The DG of the PNH calls the police union to order

Léon Charles, Director General ai of the Haitian National Police, in a note addressed to the Police Union (SPNH) underlines that despite repeated warnings to the leaders of the scheduled demonstrations, he was able to note the deliberate will of certain participants in the demonstration of January 17 organized by the SPNH https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32740-haiti-news-zapping.html "[...] to violate the legal prohibitions until using weapons fire in response to the police decided to enforce the law."

Léon Charles reminds the Syndicates and its members "of the obligation placed on you, during your demonstrations, to use the peaceful route on the one hand and on the other hand to identify and isolate any other actor wishing to instrumentalize the SPNH.

Allowing them to act without reacting exposes you on the one hand to seeing the reputation of the SPNH which is of interest to all police officers dirty and on the other hand to seeing deteriorate the protective symbolism of the PNH to which you belong and for which you must fight until end to safeguard and perpetuate its moral and ethical values.

Consequently, an investigation is ordered with a view to identifying all the troublemakers, in particular those who have used their weapons to bring them to justice."
