iciHaiti - Petit-Goâve : Total paralysis of school activities at Lycée Faustin Soulouque
At the beginning of the week, the students of Lycée Faustin Soulouque demonstrated for a good part of the day in front of the main barrier of the Lycée, paralyzing all school activities. They erected a barricade on Républicaine Street, blocked traffic and threw stones at passers-by and motorcycles.

The high school students demanded the immediate release of their comrade Olglooton Dénot, student of NS4 of the Lycée Faustin Soulouque, arrested Sunday, March 21 in Port au Prince and imprisoned at the police station of Croix-des-Bouquets.

Let's recall that Olglooton Dénot is accused of being involved in the death of Caleb Sincilair, a student of NS3 from this same high school on the sidelines of the Lycée Faustin Soulouque party on March 1st https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-33147-icihaiti-petit-goave-a-student-injured-by-a-stone-throw-in-critical-condition.html , Caleb died after being violently hit by a stone in the head https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-33168-haiti-news-zapping.html . The funeral of the victim has not yet been sung.

At the end of the day, the high school students walked several streets of the city, forcing the officials of the College Notre-Dame to dismiss their students. The school was the target of stone throwing.

The high school students are threatening to block all activities in the city and to close all schools in the city if Olglooton Denot is not released.
