This May 3, 2021, World Press Freedom Day has as its theme "Information as a public good".

Through this theme, the United Nations intends to place particular emphasis on the role of the media in the production of verified information in the public interest and in the preservation of the right to freedom of expression.

The UN underlines "The Haitian ontexte has been marked in recent months by a difficult work environment due to incidents related to the work of journalists, the phenomenon of disinformation, and the increase in hate speech."
