iciHaiti - Infrastructure : Monitoring of works on the Bassin-Bleu / Port-de-Paix road section
Nader Joiséus, the Minister of Public Works accompanied by the Departmental Director of the North-West, Engineer Angelo Horacius, carried out an inspection visit of the works in progress of the section of road on the RN5, Basssin-Bleu / Port-de-Paix 36 km long, which is crossed by 25 culverts, 19 of which have already been built, and 7 crossings with culverts, 2 of which have yet to be completed.
On this section of road, critical areas (drainage works) are in the process of being carried out, works which involve the construction of 5 km of rock masonry canals in order to protect the banks against the descent of rainwater for ensure the sustainability of the road.
At the same time, on the roadway, technicians are working on widening (deviation) works in the Aubert and Andro localities of the commune of Port-de-Paix.
