Following intelligence work, members of the Specialized Border Security Corps (CESFRONT) seized during 2 separate operations in the border provinces of Dajabón and Elias Piña, nearly 33 kg of marijuana from Haiti.

In Dajabón the drug contained in 6 packets (+/- 22kg) was transported by a Haitian individual who saw the military patrol, fired in the direction of the soldiers before fleeing, leaving the narcotics on the spot while the soldiers fired on the individual. An exchange of fire that left no injuries.

Moreover, in recent days, CESFRONT has seized a large quantity of cigarettes and other contraband goods, in addition to arresting several hundred illegal Haitians who were attempting to enter Dominican territory illegally.
