In a note dated May 30, 2021 Esther Saint-Ville President of the Platform of Franco-Haitian Associations (PAFHA) and Modeline Michaud President of the Federation of the Haitian Diaspora of Europe (FEDHE) formally deny the comments made by Edwind D'Haïti on Radio Caraïbes, on May 27

"[...] The latter declared that organizations of the Haitian community in France, including our two organizations, are in favor of the referendum initiative, carried by the power in place in Haiti.

We are certainly concerned and preoccupied about the subject, nevertheless there is no question of supporting such an approach in the absence of a broad consensus within Haitian society.

We regret that a member of one of our organizations has granted himself the right to speak on our behalf, on a subject of such great importance without having consulted us beforehand.

We take this opportunity to reaffirm our conviction in respect of constitutional rules, guarantees necessary for the construction of a rule of law."
