Speaking at the General Assembly on behalf of the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States (GRULAC), Ambassador Pedro Luis Pedroso expressed his condolences to the relatives of the late President, as well as to the people and Government of Haiti.
He condemned the cowardly assassination of President Moïse and said he was confident that this crime will not go unpunished. "We categorically reject violence in all its expressions, we call for dialogue and we call for Peace."
Likewise, Pedroso supported constitutional order, the rule of law and democratic institutions in Haiti.
As he stressed, the GRULAC family is convinced that the Haitian people will be able to overcome this situation and will continue to move forward on the path of sustainable development, an effort that the international community must continue to support.
