The migrants were immediately transferred to the Naval Intelligence Directorate M-2 located in the Los Mameyes sector (Santo Domingo East) before being handed over to the Migration authorities for repatriation to Haiti. The Navy explained that the 40-foot-long boat that carried Haitians was equipped with two outboard motors of 75 horsepower each and a reserve of 14 cans of fuel.
