Among these provisions, the installation of several hundred signs on the seismic threat, micro-zoning, training of city firefighters, assessment and strengthening of public buildings, training in construction of earthquake-resistant buildings for certain professionals including engineers, foremen and masons, raising awareness at all levels of the population on the seismic threat and on the behavior to adopt in the event of an earthquake followed by a tsunami. Ms. Yvrose Pierre, Patrick Almonor and Esaüe Lefranc members of the Cap-Haitien Communal Commission by presidential decree, published on July 7, 2020 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-31242-icihaiti-cap-haitien-members-of-the-municipal-commission.html will organize regular working sessions on the issue and invite Civil Protection and Civil Society to intervene in the debates which will allow municipal authorities to make the best decisions.
