The 4th Infantry Brigade of the Dominican Army, reports that in the migration control operations conducted between September 1 and September 10, 2021, in different neighborhoods, municipalities and border sectors under its responsibility, 3,398 Haitian nationals who were on the Dominican territory with irregular migration status were detained and handed over to the Directorate General of Migration (DGM).

The military authorities specified that all these people were returned by the DGM to Haiti by the border post of Dajabón, in accordance with established protocols.

The command of the 4th Brigade informs that these operations will not stop, and that as part of the actions that are underway, the army continues to seize vehicles and motorcycles used to transport illegal Haitians.
