iciHaiti - Politic : The Dominican President will not go to COP26 because of Haiti

Thursday, October 28, 2021, the Spokesman of the Dominican Presidency, Homero Figueroa informed of the decision of President Luis Abinader not to participate in the 26th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP26 November 1 to 12 in Glasgow, in Scotland) because of the serious crisis currently raging in Haiti and the deteriorating security situation.
"The pronounced deterioration of governance in Haiti requires continued monitoring of the political, social and economic situation to ensure a rapid response by the Dominican authorities to any unforeseen event endangering national security," specified Homero Figueroa
