iciHaiti - Collège St Louis de Bourbon : Sympathy visit from the Minister of Education
Wednesday November 3, 2021, following the bloody attack on Saturday October 30 by armed individuals on the grounds of the College St Louis de Bourdon where a parent was killed, in addition to gunshot wounds of a student, a parent and a security guard https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-35127-haiti-flash-shooting-in-the-grounds-of-the-college-st-louis-de-bourdon-1-dead-and-3-wounded.html ; Marie Lucie Joseph, Minister of National Education accompanied by Ernest Clergé Departmental Director of West Education, Louis Pierre Janvier, Director of the Commission for Social Support and School Adaptation (CASAS) and Marie Jeanne Cénéac, Principal Inspector of Port-au-Prince Nord paid a sympathetic visit to the college, to show her solidarity

During her visit, Minister Joseph met Sister Yvrose Lazare, the Director of the College "I am here to show my solidarity and that of the Government" declared the Minister who also intended to provide psychosocial support for the Ministry through the departmental direction of education of the West and CASAS which will ensure a systematic follow-up with the college. CASAS will provide psycho-social support to the students.

Sister Yvrose Lazare, thanked Minister Joseph for her support in this painful circumstance which affects the functioning of the school which will resume normal activities on November 8, stressing "This gesture shows that we are not alone and it comforts us. "
