iciHaiti - DR : Opening of the first registration offices of Haitians
Friday, November 5, during his intervention at the 4th Regional Forum on the reform and transformation of the Dominican National Police (PND), at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, Jesús Vásquez Martínez, the Minister of Interior and Police confirmed that the Dominican Government will proceed Monday, November 8 to the opening at the border of the first registration offices of Haitians, out of the 38 that the National Council for Migration has agreed to install, as part of the measures adopted faced the political crisis in Haiti, to prevent illegal migration of Haitians.

He did not specify where these first offices will open.

In addition, Minister Martínez warned that the Government will take all necessary measures to preserve peace and national sovereignty, given the crisis that Haiti is going through and assured that President Abinader has given clear signs that he will not do compromise on anything that could represent a danger for the Dominican Republic.
