During a migration control operation involving members of the Dominican navy, the army and the General Directorate of Migration (DGM), 32 Haitians in an irregular migratory situation were arrested in the Los Negros section, Province by Azua.

During this operation, five homemade weapons were found in the possession of the migrants and three motorcycles were seized.

The Haitians were taken to the reception center of Elías Piñas before their repatriation to Haiti.
