The final of the 7th edition of Interschool genius took place this Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the Gymnasium Vincent in Port-au-Prince. It dedicated the victory of the national high school of Pétion-ville (248.5 points) at the expense of the high school Alexandre Pétion (217 points).

In the afternoon of this Thursday, the activities started with the marching band of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) which had multiplied performances warmly applauded by a full house made up of hundreds of students won over by a lively animation but respectful.

Nesmy Manigat, the Minister of National Education took the time to greet all the institutions or personalities who joined the MENFP and the PHN, - via the Educational Community Police (EDUPOL) -, with a view to organizing this Interschool genius which gave young people another opportunity to devote more time to their studies while reinforcing the appropriation of certain values ​​of living together, of citizenship, as formulated in the theme of this activity: "Let's build our citizenship with EDUPOL".

"Beyond the bonuses rewarding the performance of the teams, this afternoon, I would like to salute three champions, namely the Lycée National de Pétion-Ville (1st), the Lycée Alexandre Pétion (2nd) and the Lycée National de Carrefour-Feuilles (3rd) who gave the best of themselves in order to be able to occupy the three steps of the platform of honor," said the holder of the MENFP who, suddenly, praised the 16 schools which took part in this edition of Inter-School Engineering.

"You are models for the youth of this country, try to remain so in all circumstances", continued the holder of National Education who plans to receive at the end of this school year all the teams of the 7th edition of this school game.

Individually, each player of the three teams obtained a medal and a digital tablet.

Started on April 29, 2022, this seventh edition of the Inter-School Engineering had mobilized 16 teams: the Alexandre Pétion high school, the Horatius Laventure high school, the Jean-Marie Vincent high school, the Georges and Antoine Izméry high school, the La Saline national high school, the Marie-Jeanne high school, Pétion-ville national high school, Carrefour-Feuilles high school, Antênor Firmin high school, Guy François Malary high school, Fritz Pierre-Louis high school, Essential pedagogical sciences college, Max Weber college, the mixed Maranatha college, the Institution Lydie Larivière Noël and the college of the Village of Silo.

It has benefited, among other things, from the support of UNOPS, the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP), the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC), the National Fund for Education (FNE), UNDP, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and ViVario Haiti.
