Armed bandits operating from Croix-des-Bouquets had concealed under rubbish several propane gas cylinders in the communal market of Dagou, block of the fish market, in the area of the entrance of the hotel "Kris Able" in order to lay an explosive and deadly trap for the police.
While a police raid took place in the booby-trapped perimeter, individuals attempted to detonate the propane gas cylinders, but the police informed reacted more quickly, avoiding a disaster which could have, in addition to causing significant damage, killing and injuring many members of the population...
Police are asking the public to continue to cooperate in identifying any traps set by these criminals to prevent law enforcement from tracking them...
