The Ministry of Public Works via the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA) officially launched in the city of Les Cayes, the construction works of the administrative building of the Regional Office of Drinking Water and Sanitation (OREPA) South.

It was Giuteau Édouard, Director General of DINEPA, who laid the first stone in the presence of Me Mozart Clérisson representing the Minister of Public Works, the Departmental Delegate of the South, the Mayor of the commune of Les Cayes and notables of the city.

It is a modern building of 490 m2 built on an area of ​​6,125 m2. It includes : administrative and management premises, secondary and support premises and a support structure for the operation of the space. Funded by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID) to the tune of 105 million Gourdes (+/- 1 million dollars)

The works will be carried out within 12 months by the construction firm Haïti Transports et Cleanings S.A. under the supervision of the Spanish international construction firm GECA-SOGENIE-RB Ingenieros Consultatores.
