iciHaiti - Regional Threats : Drug trafficking and the situation in Haiti

The Superior Council of the Conference of Central American Armed Forces (CFAC), at its last meeting last June, declared drug trafficking to be "the main common threat to regional security" and warned of the situation of instability and insecurity that exists in Haiti, given that it generates significant migratory flows to all the countries of the region and particularly to the Dominican Republic.
As part of its conclusions, the CFAC said it will strengthen the execution of "strong actions" to maintain control and fight against drug trafficking and other transnational threats in the land, air and maritime spaces of the countries concerned.
