The Administration of the National Ambulance Center (CAN) informs the judicial and police authorities and the general public that on the afternoon of July 20, 2022 around 2:30 p.m., armed individuals seized a CAN ambulance registered SE-03985, Mobile 211 kidnapped its driver Michel Joseph on the road to Croix-des-Bouquets, when the ambulance was heading for the town of Thiotte, his place of assignment.

The National Ambulance Center (CAN) urges the population to be vigilant and pay attention to the license plates of CAN ambulances circulating in the streets. The CAN declines all responsibility relating to the use of the stolen ambulance.

Steps are continuing with the police and other authorities concerned with a view to recovering the ambulance in question as quickly as possible.
