iciHaiti - Justice : 2 notorious bandits arrested weapons and ammunition seized

On Monday July 25, 2022, members of the Intervention Brigade of the St-Louis du Nord Police Station arrested two notorious bandits : Maréus Rochelet and Simon Fredner who were actively wanted for their involvement in armed violence in the rara bands during the Easter period and acts of banditry linked to gangs based in this commune.

In addition, the police searched the residence of Maréus Rochelet where they found and seized :

- 2 automatic rifles,
- 1 9mm caliber pistol,
- 3 9mm magazines,
- 3 AK-47 magazines
- 1 rifle scope
- 120 cartridges caliber 5.56 for automatic rifles
- 43 9mm cartridges
- 22 cartridges 12

The two bandits were taken into custody at the Port-de-Paix police station pending legal action.
